Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This policy describes how Sarvatix Solutions ("we", "us") handles data in relation to the AWS BucketBuddy VS Code extension and the website at getbucketbuddy.com.
The Extension
No personal data is collected
The BucketBuddy extension does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. It does not send telemetry, usage analytics, crash reports, or any other data to Sarvatix Solutions or any third-party service.
AWS credentials are never transmitted
BucketBuddy reads AWS credentials from your local machine (~/.aws/credentials, ~/.aws/config, environment variables, or other standard credential sources) and uses them exclusively to make API calls to Amazon Web Services on your behalf. Your access keys, secret keys, session tokens, and SSO tokens are never transmitted to any server operated by Sarvatix Solutions.
What is persisted locally
BucketBuddy saves the following to VS Code workspace or global state — stored entirely on your local machine:
- AWS profile names (plain strings — not credentials)
- Pinned bucket names
- UI preferences (sort order, etc.)
This data never leaves your machine and can be cleared at any time via VS Code's built-in extension storage management.
The Website (getbucketbuddy.com)
Web analytics
This website may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool (such as Plausible Analytics) to understand aggregate page traffic. If used, it collects no personally identifiable information, uses no cookies, and does not track users across sites. We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising-based analytics platform.
No cookies
This website sets no cookies and does not use local storage for tracking purposes.
Third-party services
AWS BucketBuddy makes API calls to Amazon Web Services on your behalf. Your use of AWS is subject to Amazon's Privacy Notice. Sarvatix Solutions has no control over AWS data practices.
